Continuing on from our spring theme, this week we have been looking at the colour green! We began by painting paper plate frogs and singing “Five Little Speckled Frogs”:
Show-and-tell this week was “Bring something green!” so the children showed off their green toys, bottles and clothes:
Next we listened to the song “Ten Green Bottles”, and had a go at acting it out:
On Wednesday we explored a green sensory tray filled with green rice, pasta, pompoms tissue paper, string and play resources:
In anticipation of Father’s Day on Sunday the class made biscuits (if any made it home before being eaten!) and cards to gift to their daddies:
On Friday we took advantage of the sunny weather and went outside to plant all the seeds you brought in! Each child has a pot to water and watch grow:
Next week we will be taking part in a school-wide project on ‘Sustainability’ with a special ‘Water Day’ on Friday!
