A change of season is coming, so in Nursery we have been taking part in activities all about spring! We began with a gluing activity, making stripy bees:
The children had so much fun playing with flower shaped balloons!
We read one of our favourite books about a spring creature, ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ and then role played the story by feeding the food from the book to our own giant caterpillar!
We used our senses of touch, sight and smell to explore spring flowers:
In our ‘Exploring Food’ session we decorated biscuits with green chocolate!
To practise fine motor skills we made collages with pink and yellow flowers, using our real flowers as inspiration:
On Friday we went outside and planted the flowers in our garden flower pots. Over the next few weeks we will care for them and see how they change!
