In anticipation of Valentine’s Day, we have been taking part in Valentine’s themed activities and exploring the heart shape this week. For show-and-tell the children brought in heart shaped objects or wore clothes with hearts on them:
We made Valentine’s Day cards by glueing on heart themed ribbons. I asked who they were for and the children told me “Mummy and Daddy”:
In our role play session we played Valentine’s bakery!:
On Wednesday we brewed up some love potions!:
We also played with a Valentine’s and heart themed sensory rice tray:
And practised fine motor skills and following lines by making a pompom heart craft:
