This week in Nursery we have been doing activities all centred around transportation, including cars, boats, buses, planes and diggers! First we explored mark making by painting tyre tracks with cars:
And played with the cars by pushing them through tunnels!
The children had a lot of fun singing “The Wheels on the Bus” during role play!
We experimented with textures and volumes while playing with diggers in the sand box:
And practised using a knife to spread, when we made traffic light crackers in cooking!
We also got some fine motor skills practise by making traffic light art, using corks to stamp red, yellow and green circles:
And finally we decorated paper boats and put them in water to see if they would float or sink!
Next week will be a project with the theme of… GOLDILOCKS AND THE THREE BEARS!
