It’s now November, and with the change in month comes a change in season. In Nursery we are exploring the ways in which the environment is changing as the leaves in our school grounds are changing colour, and we’re wrapping up in warmer clothes.
We started off by touching, looking at and playing with autumn natural objects that have fallen from the trees. This includes leaves, pine cones, acorns and sticks. We talked about the patterns in the leaves that were changing from green to yellow and brown. The children also enjoyed making towers and rolling acorns through tubes.
Next, we mixed together our own pongo using autumnal scents. We made vanilla, cinnamon and cocoa scented pongo balls!

In art class we painted paper in autumnal shades of red and brown, to use in for craft that will be continued next week:
And on Friday we had a go at making tea role play, as I’m sure a lot of us will be drinking hot tea as the days get colder:
Every day we’ve been checking the parsley seeds that we planted in the vegetable patch, and are happy to see that they are growing!
