The day started with a relaxing session of yoga followed by some meditation.
Yoga and mindfulness have been shown to improve both physical and mental health from a young age. Yoga improves balance and strength as well as supporting children’s mental well being.
Healthy eating
Healthy eating is essential for your child’s good health, growth and development. Through this activity children were encouraged to think about the importance of eating healthy and keeping fit.
We washed, cut, smelled and tasted different vegetables, such as broccoli, onion, carrots and zucchini.
After cooking it for a while we tried our delicious soup. Children had different reactions and comments.
‘ it smells :D’
‘ I like it’
‘ I don’t like the onions..’
Some children asked for more while others did not really enjoy it. I thought it was delicious 😀
Getting along with others, sharing and being a friend is also part of wellness. In Reception yellow we made friendship bracelets.
A great way to keep children entertained and show love and appreciation to friends and family.
Namaste from Reception yellow 🙂
