Welcome Winter…

From Nursery up to year 1 we really enjoyed making our own winter themed playdough and the children had so much fun creating winter windstucks to hang in their classrooms as winter decorations…

With the Nursery children this month we looked into the changing of season s and we created Autumn crowns using leaves and natural resources collected in our garden by the children themselves.

There are so many benefits to providing early years children with opportunities to cook and learn about food.

Supports children to try new foods– they become familiar with the sensory properties of foods, such as smell, taste and texture
Positive food exposure– can help to support fussy/ picky eaters
Supports physical development– e.g. hand eye coordination
Learn about food- e.g. how it grows and where it comes from

Preschool children had fun investigating on oranges and the orange juice was very much appriciated …
