Mixing paint to make fire!
Painting is a way for children to do many important things: express emotions and ideas, use their senses, explore colour.
Playing doctors and nurses:
Role play is a great tool to develop language and confidence. It allows children to explore, investigate and experiment.
Vehicles:
In this fun art activity, kids use toy cars to paint colourful lines and patterns on paper.
and it got a little bit messy… 🙂
Children not only built their fire truck but also explored shapes and learned new vocabulary. The truck is rectangle, the ladder is a rectangle with squares and the wheels are circles.
‘Making’ bubbly fire
Children mixed vinegar and red food colouring then added baking soda. It was really interesting for the children to see what happens when mixing certain ingredients.
