End of year 3 blog

Dear year 3 families and students,

I would like to thank everyone for a wonderful year full of joy and meaning. I think back to when I first met the children back in September, and to have shared so many important memories together is a truly unforgettable experience. The children showed incredible resilience and determination this year, and indeed it was them who modelled perseverance and courage. I consider it a real blessing to have taught these two classes. Every single student, like the tiles in a colourful mosaic, formed part of a wonderful collective. Of the many photos with pieces of work I could attach, I decided to attach one memorable time where the students looked at emotions. The students looked at how when someone or something makes you cross, it is like tying a piece of strong around your heart. The person or thing making you cross pulls on the string – and is therefore in control. “The only way to be free is to cut the string!” someone said in the class. The children learned about self-control, clemency, and emotions- and, the bittersweet end which befalls us now, similarly pulls at one’s heart strings!

All the best,

Mr Anthony and Mr Nick
