Now spring is here Preschool Yellow has been noticing some changes. The leaves and plants are starting to grow back, and there are lots of worms and insects about!
With this in mind we read the story of The Very Hungry Caterpillar, which the children enjoyed a lot. Here are some of the caterpillars and butterflies we made:
And we acted out the life cycle by being eggs, hungry caterpillars, sleeping cocoons and butterflies!
And made some delicious healthy caterpillar snacks, talking about which foods are good for us and which are not so good.
We talked about how plants grow and placed a potato into water so we can watch how it changes. So far it has turned green and hard, sprouted some shoots and starting to grow roots.
After the online learning period we were back to school in time to celebrate Easter, with some crafts:
And an egg hunt kindly organised by Miss Giorgia, where we followed clues around the school to lead us to the eggs!
