Autumn is my favourite season and I love taking photos of nature’s beauty! Here at AHI, we are very lucky to have such a vast outdoor area for play, exploration and discovery and everyday is an adventure for the children.
Orange: In class we explored how to make the colour orange in different ways; for example, by mixing red and yellow water, red & yellow paint and red and yellow playdough; the preschoolers were excited about the transformations they made. During ‘Cooking lab’ we made an autumn fruit salad and fresh orange juice, owl rice cake snacks and yummy honey and chocolate cornflake cakes.
The children had lots of fun engaging in autumnal activities and crafts and made an autumn tree picture, leaf puppets, a hedgehog, beautiful nature crowns and used loose parts such as twigs and acorns to make faces, flowers and shapes.
Our last topic for November is ‘shapes’ and then we’ll start preparing for Christmas!
