Halloween in Preschool Yellow

For our latest topic we have had been celebrating Halloween! We have done lots of spooky craft activiites, including spider hats, pom pom printed ghosts, paper plate pumpkins, drawing spiders, paper mummies and hanging ghost cups!

We got messy mixing potions both in the classroom and outside and scooping out a pumpkin.

We worked on fine motor skills by cutting string to make broomsticks, threading spider webs, pulling the spiders out with pincers, painting with cotton buds, and making play doh spiders.

And gross motor skills by balancing along a spider web, making a hut and exploring the logs outside.

We practised some maths by counting and sorting spiders onto webs.

We also played trick or treat with a mystery bag filled with nice things and spooky things, and had a halloween party in our costumes! We made tasty spider sandwiches and ate them along with party snacks and spooky music to dance to.

Our next topic will be ORANGE!
