We had lots of fun preparing for and celebrating Halloween!
We did lots of activities to help develop fine motor skills such as hammering golf tees into a pumpkin & then stretching elastics around the golf tees; we used pincers to rescue spiders and creepy crawlies from a web; we made Halloween decorations from das and made yummy biscuits. For maths we matched pegs to numbers to practise counting, number recognition and quantity.
We also rescued mice, snakes and creepy crawlies from blocks of ice and made some tasty witches brew in the forest school. On the last day we came dressed in our costumes, made ‘spider sandwiches’ for snack and had a Halloween party in class; Spider man even came to visit!
Happy Halloween Preschool Green! Next week we will start exploring ‘Autumn’ and all it’s beautiful colours!
