Welcome to my wonderful classroom of 5 little lovely children: Preschool Blue with Ms.Giorgia!
Victor, Mattia, Edoardo, Zeno and Violante have first completed their ‘Settling-in’ during the first two weeks of school. They explored all the outdoor areas; the sand pint, the Indian village; and the secret garden. They also had some fun on the tricycles, bicycles and cars and spent time all together on the swings and slides.
Once they were comfortable with the outdoor environment, the kids explored their new classroom. We cleaned all the animals, built Kapla, Lego towers and of course worked with Play Dough. We painted all together, as well as sang, and we finally ate our first lunch all together on Tuesday 8th.
They have now been working for two weeks on the subject ‘All About Me’.
They have learned to design their physical appearances by decorating cardboard gingerbread men with hair, eyes, mouth, shoes and dresses by using coloured strings, different coloured eyes, buttons, pom pom, pencils or markers.
A part from sleeping all together, they have learned what it means to brush their teeth every time after having eaten their lunch for personal hygiene and self-care!
We have made our own personal friendship tree by hand printing all our hands on a peace of paper with our favourite colours.
But our main project this week was to clean one area of the school from plastic. (ALL KIDS WERE OBVIOUSLY WEARING GLOVES)
What softens my heart the most is that they are finally becoming friends and, of course, enjoying the first rains of the season!
Lastly, they have talked about their families through a set of family photos put into their own personal decorated albums, which will remain a sweet surprise!
This upcoming week the new topic will be: YELLOW.
