Artistic Director Edward Andrews and Executive Producer Eleanor Russo presented the workshop with a focus on aspects of language and performance within Shakespeare’s plays, and gave some advice and training on how to interpret and present the language to an audience. Both are classically trained actors from Drama Studio London and have performed Shakespeare all over the world, including London’s West End. They said they were very impressed by Acorn House students, with regards to their command of the English language, and their in-depth knowledge of Shakespeare’s writing.
The students worked in pairs and in groups to practise and develop their acting skills, and bring to life the texts that they have studied in class. It will surely stand them in good stead when they perform in the end of year play in June. As usual, they were a credit to the school.
