Year 9 have been studying George Orwell’s 1948 dystopian classic Nineteen-Eighty-Four, which warns of a future of television cameras following citizens’ every move under an oppressive state of Big Brother authoritarianism and control, which turns citizens against each other and frowns on any expressions of unregulated individuality.
