So June has been yet another busy month for the Nursery and Preschool children. In preparation for ‘Festa dello Scambio’ we painted our t-shirts with a happy sun face and lots of colourful dots. We practised our songs every morning in class as well as during music lessons with Mr. Davide. Even though some of the children had stage fright on the big day, they nonetheless did very well performing in front of so many people.
During science week we explored lots with water; how it changes colour when we mix colours together and how and why things float or sink. We also explored the transformation of water to ice and from ice back to water. The children had fun fishing for plastic ducks in the little pond and one morning we found a frog in the pond which the children were very excited and curious about.
On the last day of school, parents joined their children for afternoon snack and were presented with their ‘learning books’; a collection of their work with photos for the whole scholastic year.
It has been a great school year and we wish all families a wonderful and fun summer! See you all in September!
