On Thursday we went on our final school trip of the year to ‘Emi Fattoria’ close to Bracciano. As always, the children were super excited and well behaved on the bus journey there, which took almost a hour!
On arrival we met the owner/guide, Ms. Emy, who greeted us with her friendly smile and made us feel very welcome. After our morning snack we walked through the farm to the adjoining fields to pick strawberries which we then squished and mixed with sugar to make fresh delicious jam!
Next we visited the farm animals; pigs, geese, hens, goats and finally the tortoises. Some of the children were a little afraid to be in close contact with the animals but were still very curious and observed.
After lunch, we explored the big beautiful play park; the children’s gross motor skills were put to great use on the rope swing and on the tibetian bridge. They had so much fun running up and down the hill collecting old pine cones that the squirrels had gnawed on!
We had the best day at ‘Emi Fattoria’; it’s an ideal place to take young explorers!
