Year 6 and Year 4 Yellow had a great surprise when Canottieri Rumon, which is based at Salaria Village, popped over to AHI last Friday and brought with them a couple of rowing machines.
Students had the opportunity (even if some had already done so) to have a go on a rowing machine and simulate the various movements a rower has to perform when rowing. They were very attentive when Francesco, who represents the club at Regional and National level, gave a great demonstration.
They did not shy away and gave it their all. Some were not accustomed to the various movements rowing actually has, but they had lots of fun. Here are some of our students enjoying their time on the machines:
