Year 4 have had a very busy month this October.
We had our amazing trip to the Planetarium and Time Elevator, expanding our classroom learning on The Big Bang. Have a look on the stairs for our individual accounts of the day. We also presented our learning to the rest of the primary school, during our assembly. We showed we are real experts on The Big Bang and were very proud to be able to teach the other students. 
We did our first pieces of Year 4 writing. We looked at the features of newspaper reports and then wrote our own about the Big Bang. We included headlines, captions, introductory and concluding paragraphs and learnt about putting information in chronological order. They are at the top of the stairs – come and have a look!
In grammar we have been looking at adjectives, verbs and nouns. Then we used adjectives to write some descriptive sentences for our scary halloween haunted house pictures!! We are so excited for our Halloween party on Tuesday – Trick or treat!
On the theme of Halloween we have also been learning lots about skeletons and bones!
