Last Friday, Year 1 embarked on a bus, and were taken to a magic land: the land of talking trees at the “Museo della Creatività”.
The landscape was wonderful: a huge carpet of bright green lawn sprinkled with daisies and dandelions. In the far distance stood a tower from which we were told that a princess was probably waving to us.
We started following a path through the olive trees and passed by a huge construction called an aqueduct. They explained to us that water was once carried and brought to the city of Rome through a small tunnel at the top of it. Then we were given a magical instrument and were told that if we were very attentive, the trees could talk to us! Obviously we had to be very careful on our way not to squash any of the many gnomes living in the shade of the trees.
Then we started our little tour. We first met the nine brothers, a line of 9 maritime pines which were as tall as a building, and indeed, they talked to us through the magic instrument we were given; then we met the plum tree, the apricot tree, the olive trees which we could actually hug, and finally the cherry tree, to whom we confessed all our secret wishes.
Along the way we collected everything that we thought was interesting on the ground like leaves, flowers and sticks and then we created our very own scrap book. We had so much fun.
After our adventure we we played fun games and finally we said farewell to our hosts and to the Magic Land of the Talking trees, holding hands and breathing deeply.
