Fairytale writing contest – 3rd place winner.
Once apon a time in a far away land…OOPS! Sorry, wrong story, here’s the right one: A few years ago, in a garage near New York, six cars decided to race against each other, three against three, their names were: Freddy Coupè, Bumpy Jeep and Mini Morris, they were the good ones. The evil ones were: Dark
Rover, Bully Lambo and Alfa Spider, they were the meanest racers ever!
Why are Freddy, Bumpy and Mini where in the city, they accidentally bumped into Dark, Bully and Alfa, and that was when the hatred started…
“ Hey Bumpy! Stop bumping everywhere!” joked Bully “Ha,Ha! Good one buddy! What about this one? Why don’t you live in a chicken coop Coupè?!” answered Alfa, “Hey! Stop it guys! Be cool!” Yelled dark. He was the leader of his group, ‘Dark and the crushed wheels’ . They drove away laughing and talking about the race.
Freddy, Mini and Bumpy’s group name was ‘ The cars of the FUTURE!’ in fact, everyone thought that in the future there would be exact copies of them as toys for kids if they won the race.
A few days later they started training for the race that was the next day.
“ The race is tomorrow! We have to win and practice as hard as we can!” Commanded Mini, “ Mini is right, we have to be ready tomorrow!- answered Bumpy- But I can’t compete in the race because I am not made for races, I’m just going to root for you in the audience, OK?” “Sure Bumpy, and you even look out for ‘ Dark and the crushed wheels’ cheating again.” Whispered Freddy.
Now it was the day of the race in the city and everyone was getting ready to start.
“3,2,1, GO!!!” Yelled someone, and the race had started and evil cars had started bumping into Freddy and Mini on purpose and unfortunately Dark & co. won, so, Freddy asked for a rematch in the farm, so that Bumpy could compete too, “Rematch, rematch!” chanted Freddy, Then everyone chanted along, “ Rematch! Rematch!” In the end they did have a rematch, a pretty good one actually. Dark told his team not to play dirty this time, because he thought that Freddy’s team we’re going to slow down and not come close to them. But they did and they won, so it was a tie, in fact they had to have a last race on the track to make it fair. In the last race Dark’s team went way too far, they modified their motors to go fast and they put machines in their wheels that shot pointy nails. That wasn’t even allowed!
In this race Dark was always first with Freddy beside him, so right before the finish line he shot his nails, but the nails bounced off Freddy’s the wheels and went back to Dark, which made his motor explode and his wheels to pop, so in the end ‘The cars of the FUTURE’ where the best racers of all time.
