December – Reception Yellow

Children in Reception Yellow have been so excited about Christmas, that the festive spirit entered the classroom doors a bit earlier this year. Maybe due to the past few hard months, maybe because they like making Christmas decorations and listening to Christmas songs, whatever the reason is they are very proud of their accomplishments and crafts.

Literacy:

Children have begun to blend, what a milestone!

Writing is still a bit tricky, but children are practicing and working hard!

Maths:

Play-doo and numbers flashcards, a fun way to work on fine motor skills and number recognition.

Sorting and patterns:

Talk 4 Writing:

This month, the children had lots of fun with the ‘ The gingerbread man’.

Needless to say that their favorite part was stomping around saying: ‘ RUN RUN as fast as you can, you can’t catch me I am the Gingerbread man!’

Talking about Christmas, Reception Yellow has retold this story as part of the Christmas concert.
