Tesla has designed three new models in its line-up.
In 2019, there will be a production of roadsters… not normal roadsters, but electric ones. The special thing is that with one charge, they should have a range of 1000 km, and reach 100mph in 4.2 seconds from a standing start.
Another new model is the “Tesla Model 3”. The company had predicted production of 1500, but as yet they have only managed to make 260. This car was projected to have a motor in each wheel.
Finally, their other innovation is a lorry. This lorry would have a price tag of £200,000, compared to a standard diesel lorry which would set you back £120,000. Tesla’s new lorry would have a range of 643km from a 30-minute charge. In the long run, this new lorry would be less expensive than the standard diesel because electricity costs less than diesel.
With these two huge innovations, Tesla enters into a competitive market.
Mr Musk’s specialists say that it is currently almost impossible to produce a battery at a more reasonable price for the market.
However, using battery systems instead of diesel engines is a new way to help the environment and reduce pollution.
