Dear Parents,
Finally we’re all back to work and I’m looking forward to start a new exciting School year full of Music and songs!
I’m very happy to write you this letter because the students of Year 7 Class will start learning the Recorder (Flute). This is a great way for your children to improve and focus on all the musical notions that they have been learning so far. This activity will be an important part of the annual program, together with History of Music and Music Theory.
I kindly ask you to provide your children with a good quality instrument (“Flauto in Do” – marca “Aulos” o “Yamaha”, around 20 euros). The students will find all the exercises on their book “Musica in Jeans” Vol. A.
I will be providing audio files (on the “Homework section” in Regel) so the students can listen to the music exercise and try to play it with their instrument
The exercises will go from an “easy level” , then gradually
will require more skills and knowledge, so it is important to start practicing from the very beginning. The usual time of practicing at home should be around 5-10 minutes per day. Also, i’ve decided to adopt the “Recorder Karate Dojo”, a Rewarding System that uses coloured strings, same as Karate Belts, that students should collect depending on their level of skills.
It is important that every student will bring the Flute and the books “Musica in Jeans Vol. A-B” to every music lessons. If they are missing the Flute for two or more lessons the School will ask you to buy a second Flute that will be taken in class.
I’m available for any additional info, suggestions, and feedback!
Best Regards,
Davide Alivernini
