Acorn International School’s First IB Diploma Cohort Achieves Results Above the Global Average
Rome, 6 July 2026 – ACORN International School celebrates a significant milestone with the success of its inaugural International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) cohort. Students achieved an average Diploma score of 33.5 points, exceeding the current global average, highlighting the consistency of academic achievement across the graduating class. Most students were awarded the prestigious IB Bilingual Diploma, in line with the school’s Dual Curriculum approach and recognising their ability to successfully complete the Diploma Programme while demonstrating academic proficiency in two languages.
Beyond the results themselves, ACORN is especially proud that its graduates have secured exciting opportunities at universities across Europe. Their chosen pathways reflect the diversity of their talents and aspirations—from Engineering and Drama & Music in the United Kingdom, to Mathematics in the Netherlands, Biology in Italy, Design in Italy and Spain, as well as a meaningful gap year dedicated to volunteering before beginning university studies.
“This first graduating class represents an important milestone in ACORN’s history,” said Mr Stefano Baldoni, High School Principal and IBDP Coordinator,. “Their achievements are the result of hard work, resilience and intellectual curiosity, supported by dedicated teachers and a learning environment that encourages every student to reach their full potential. We are proud to see them embark on exciting new journeys and wish them every success for the future.”
Founded on the belief that international education should be innovative, personalised, inclusive and future-focused, ACORN sees the success of its inaugural IB Diploma cohort as an important affirmation of its educational vision. As the school continues to grow, these graduates have established a strong foundation for the generations of students who will follow.
