Are you searching for a school where your children can have fun, can stay until they are 18, where they can study all they need for the future and that has a huge park full of giant, roaring trees? Then Acorn International School is the school for you! Keep reading to find out more!
Learning by having fun
This fabulous school opened in September 2023 and is home for children from 2-18 years old. It can be found in Parco di Veio, northern Rome, on Via della Giustiniana 1200. There is a school on top of a hill and everybody would like to go there. Acorn is a special school, with lots of attractions: a library, a giant playground, a football pitch, a really big lunchroom. Students can experience their school for a great part of a day: the school day starts at 8:30am and ends at 3:30pm and there are also after school clubs, field and residential trips, summer and winter camps. There is no limit to the activities you can do: music, literature, ICT, art, gym and obviously science. Have you ever built a rocket that you launched in space?Well here we do, thanks to the NASA researchers from Houston, who come and teach us everything about space and robots.
The perfect path to growing up
In the Early Years, children from 2-4 years old have fun and play, learn phonics and letters and start introducing math. They also do gardening, cooking and team building activities. Early Years include: Nursery, Preschool and Reception. Kids here learn only English. They can even start doing gym and art. Primary is where children from 5-10 years old can go. Here children learn both Italian and English. Even in primary, children do lots of fun things. For example, they have 2 30 minute playtimes where they can play freely. They have reward assemblies, where teachers choose some students who have been great during that period and these students will get a reward. Students go on field trips and residential trips and have fun school events like halloween costume parades and parties, easter egg hunts and soccer tournaments. In Middle School children from 11-14 years old can learn things like the square root and the digestive system. In Middle School you learn Italian, English and Spanish. Students can do math, music, ICT, gym and art too. They have 2 30 minute playtimes where they can play freely even on the football pitch. High School is where children from 14-18 years old can go to learn really interesting, but difficult things. There they speak Italian, English, Spanish and have the possibility to study French. Even here they do math, music, ICT, gym and art. IB program is also offered.
