It has been a fantastic year. The Year 7 students have really taken to the way we study history and geography in Middle School. Their argument building, source analysis, and investigative skills have developed nicely throughout the year. They are more than ready to hit Year 8 after a well deserved summer rest. They have successfully completed their first historical research project, where they had to investigate, and correct, historical misconceptions about life in the Middle Ages. They then gathered their information and created a lovely pamphlet as seen below.
Geography has flexed their artistic muscles as they kept up with all of the diagram drawing involved in our Rivers topic. They really grasped the core processes of erosion, transportation, and deposition, which will tie in nicely with what we will begin with in Year 8.
The students have had a lot of fun this year, enjoy the well deserved summer holidays and recharge for the jump up to Year 8!
