Hello from the PE department!
The children have hit the floor running and their enthusiasm to learn new things has been incredible. The ‘veterans’ have welcomed their new peers with open arms, which has been greatly appreciated.
Every class will have various objectives throughout the year and together we will strive to achieve them. Our methodology varies depending on the objectives, but one thing is for sure, students will have lots of fun learning. Listen, Respect and Participate are the three fundamental rules which children need to oblige by in order to get the full PE experience.
Learning new strategies and finding ways to obtain goals is something children have been working on since day one. Giving them a little extra responsibility so they can value team work and collective effort whilst also working on their communication and technical skills is just an element of the methodology. The challenges set are taking students away from their comfort zone so they can explore and improve new skills. Dealing with new situations is a challenge alone. They are constantly learning new things about themselves and their peers. Whilst all of this is going on, the children are enjoying themselves and always smiling. More to come…
