Hello from the PE department!
Spring is definitely here and we are really getting ready for our Sports Days.
Children have continuously been working really hard on the various skills that have been presented to them. They have come a long way since September and I am really proud of them. Seeing children communicate and giving advice to one another is brilliant and makes me very proud. Team work, coordination, balance, agility are just a few things we have covered but above all, we are learning how to behave with one another.
With the older students, we have been working on making decisions which can benefit the individual and the group (strategy). With the aid of some fun games, children have responded really well to these exercises. They have worked hard, have started to understand why the body reacts in certain manners and have also gained a little stamina. One or two have left the lesson quite tired, which is a sign, in my opinion, of hard work. When you hear children asking you to do something again, this can only mean two things in my opinion: they are enjoying themselves and that they want to improve the previous result.
I hope that this enthusiasm and motivation continues as the days get a little warmer…
