In the lead up to Christmas we have been exploring shapes. For our weekly ‘Show-and-tell’ activity the children brought in many different shaped things from home which we used to play with in class.The children explored shapes using wooden sticks, matching them to different shaped templates.
We also made shaped hanging decorations to decorate our class, using lots of colourful glitter.
During cooking lab we used different cookie cutters such as stars, gingerbread men, hearts and circles to make some yummy biscuits which we decorated with chocolate drops. The children also explored shapes during gym lesson with Mr. Alberto making squares, triangles and rectangles with sticks which they had to jump in to and then out from!
