Hello from the PE department!
The first two months have flown by and it is incredible to see the amount of work the children have already covered. From Nursery all the way up to Year 9, children have been challenged and many have done extremely well. Gaining confidence, following instructions, working collectively, improving core and finer motor skills are just a few things that the children have been working on. The various exercises and games students have taken part in have allowed them to be creative, spontaneous and daring. They have learnt new terminology and seen how the body reacts to the various exercises they perform.
Our little friends from EYFS and KS1 have been working on balance, rolling, organising (working together) and basic throwing. From the pictures below, one can honestly say that the children are definitely having fun.
Our KS2 kids have been working on hand-eye coordination and dynamic balance. We can appreciate in the following pictures how our children have been working individually and collectively.
KS3 students have also been putting into practice their creative skills. Below we can see Year 9 students playing a bit of football-tennis.
All in all, the students are working really well and it is great to see how they are developing in all aspects. Long may it continue.
