Preschool school trip to ‘Azienda Agricola Iacchelli’

On Wednesday 25th October the Preschoolers went on their first school trip to Iacchelli farm in Velletri.

The children were very excited to travel on the big bus and we sang, chatted and giggled!

On arrival we were met by our guide, Rossana. We had a snack and then started our tour of the farm.

We visted the donkeys first and learned how to feed them properly, with our hands opened out flat. This donkey was very ‘greedy’ and would not let the other donkey close to the fence for some carrots!

Next we saw other farm animals such as the geese, ducks, hens, cows, bulls and the goats and pigs.

After this we visted the horses and ponies and fed them too. Alessandro P.C. told Rossana that his stables were ‘bigger and more beautiful!!

After this we collected lots of chestnuts but had to be careful not to get pricked! We took some chestnuts back to school and got to take a small bag home too.

Next we visted the laboratory to make a wooden ‘spinning top’. The children had to smooth the wood with sand paper and then colour it as they wished.

After lunch we had lots of fun playing in the huge park (which we had all to ourselves) before returning to school.

The children had a busy yet interesting and fun day and they were very well behaved. Well done Preschoolers!
