Hi we are back!!
October is almost over… can you believe it?! If time flies it means that we had fun this month as well. We discovered many interesting things. During the first week we played with the primary colours blue and yellow (blue spaghetti, sensory bags, blue and yellow toys)
And through the booklet “Little Blue and Little Yellow” we found out that if we mix blue and yellow we have GREEN!!
Then Miss Flavia passed onto the sense of touch through the first project “The Falling Panel”… don’t worry though it is not dangerous. It is called the Falling Panel because it has some containers through which things fall (gently) on the ground. We decorated the panel while using both our hands and untraditional tools.
… Painting with aluminium foil
… decorating the panel with recycled objects
Hey hold on a sec! We forgot to tell you that we took a short break from our project because Miss Flavia wanted us to grow some lentils seeds in cotton wool and water
She told us to use a strange thing to slightly wet the cotton wool called “eye-dropper”… it was strange, it looked like a straw but the water wouldn’t come out of it unless you squeezed that big red thing on the top
Once the panel was ready we started to explore our emotions and facial expressions. We had tons of fun looking at ourselves in the mirror trying to reproduce the basic feelings (sad, happy and scared) or playing the “matching the emotions” game or just reproducing a happy face with macaroni and pennette.
I look in the mirror and what do I see? I look in the mirror and I see ME!
We also had some special and cosy moments while waiting for our classmates…
Then we were introduced to a new color ORANGE!
And after that we did…. “hey guys do you remember what we did next!?!”… Oh yeah how could I ever forget?! we explored the spooky world of Halloween while decorating our class with scary things and trick or treating other teachers in school.
Pumpkins and orange were everywhere….
Alas this month is over and after studying a little bit of chemistry (mixing of the colours), science (law of gravity and falling things), emotions and culture (World Food Day and Halloween) we have to go because Miss Flavia is calling us.
Thank you for reading our bulletin
See you next month
