Welcome back to Year 5!
It is so exciting to see everyone back on track. This year we started by working really hard since day 1. We began telling stories of what we like and don’t like, what we did during the summer, and our favorite books! It was really interesting to listen to everyone’s summer fun.
We will be focusing on reading, writing, and studying really hard.We have already been taking tests, reading our NEW chapter books, and doing tons of homework. This seems to be really hard!
We will be learning about the Sumerians, doing projects with all of our teachers, studying their timeline, planning stories of survival, and many more fun things.
So far, Year 5 has also proved to be really fun. We have a prize system that allows us to buy things with the tickets we earn during the day. We can buy many things to use during our lessons, or take home to share with our families. This will be the best way to keep us motivated, since we can see the rewards we will get!
