EXPLORING THE COLOUR ORANGE
During the month of November the children had fun with the colour ‘orange’. We mixed red and yellow paint and red and yellow pongo to make orange.We practised our fine motor skills using scissors to cut orange paper which we then used to make a collage. The children borught in orange toys/objects from home for ‘show-and-tell’ and we had fun with the feely bag which contained lots of orange objects found in class.

CHANGING SEASONS – AUTUMN
We engaged in many different activities and learning activities to explore Autumn such as :
-collecting nature items from our outdoor play area (such as acorns, leaves, twigs) which we used to play with in the big sensorial trays and then used to make a beautiful Autumn nature collage;
-we had lots of fun outside trying to catch the leavs as they fell from the trees; we also collected leaves and make big piles which we jumped in to; we also used the leaves to make ‘leaf creatures’;
-we used coloured wool to wrap around leaf shapes made from cardboard;

-during cooking lab we made chocolate and honey cornflake cakes and we explored many autumn foods using our senses;
