Dear Year 2 Yellow and Blue Parents,
I hope you have had a wonderful summer and that you and your child are excited for a brand new school year! My name is Maria Mascia and I will be your child’s English teacher this year. I am enthusiastic to join the Acorn House International School community. I hope this year we will learn from each other and work together to make this year successful and happy for your child. Ms. Elisa will be my partner, teaching your children in Italian. We are both equally responsible for your children and we will be constantly collaborating and communicating with each other as a team.
I am looking forward to meeting you either this week as you drop off and/or pick up your children, or on Friday, September 9 at the scheduled parent-teacher meeting at 3:45.
Some quick information for you to know about me:
I am American- from New Jersey. I have been living and teaching in Rome for two years. My professional experiences include three years teaching in New Jersey as a Grade 3 teacher, and two years teaching at Ambrit International School as a Year 2 teacher. I have a Masters in Special Education and a Bachelors in English Literature; I have a United States Elementary Teaching Certificate and Special Education Teaching Certificate.
