Dear Parents and Students,
my name is Davide Alivernini, I’m the music teacher here at Acorn House.
I teach all the classes and students of the school, from Nursery to Year 9, so I have the great opportunity to see improvements and developments of music skills across the different age areas.
I’m always pleasantly surprised when students of any age show me a new or different way to “play” with music. This is everytime a great lesson for me ,and it reminds me that Music is like an “open-source” that is available for everyone and lets all of us enjoy it in many different ways.
I believe that one of my tasks as a Music Teacher is to show the students as many as possible “points of view”, letting them discover different music genres, different ways to interact with them, being always creative and playful. My lessons are also a “blank page” for the students to express themselves, sometimes being part of a loud choir, sometimes understanding and respecting the rules of “following the rhythm and being in tune”, which is a key tool for any collaborative work environment.
Looking forward to learn a lot of new songs, I wish you a great year at Acorn House!
