Throughout September and October Year 3 have been working diligently on halving and doubling. The class were introduced to the problem of waste and litter around the world, and how countries are trying to halve their carbon footprint. Whilst halving seemed difficult at first, year 3 became brilliant at it. The students were encouraged to cut back and “halve” some bad habits, including buying too much plastic, buying too many plastic toys and pencil cases. Halve our emissions and double the amount of trees! That’s our motto.
